Wayne Rooney: Manchester United striker to join Everton on free transfer.

Wayne Rooney will reportedly sign for Everton this week
Wayne Rooney could complete a free transfer return to Everton by the end of this week.
As talkSPORT exclusively revealed on Monday, the Toffees are determined to land the 31-year-old this summer.
Sources close to the Merseyside club believe it is 'almost inevitable' that Manchester United's record goalscorer will wear the Blue jersey again.
Now Everton have stepped up their interest and, according to The Sun, the deal is all but done.
Rooney is understood to have been withdrawn from the United squad that will head to the United States for the Red Devils' pre-season tour, with his move to Goodison Park set to be finalised in the coming days.
He will reportedly continue to earn £250,000-per-week on Merseyside, having chosen to return to his first club with no MLS offers on the table and no desire to uproot his family to China.
The England striker's return to the Toffees comes 13 years after he left Goodison for Old Trafford.
In the years since, Rooney has won five Premier League titles, one FA Cup, three League Cups, the Champions League, the Europa League and the Club World Cup, and he also became United's all-time record goalscorer last season with 253 goals to his name.
It is believed Everton will follow up the capture of Rooney by swooping for Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud in a £20m deal.
