Barcelona are set to place a €100m (£88m) bid Marco Verratti Barcelona are set to table a huge £88million bid for Marco Verratti after the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder told the club he wants to leave this summer. The 24-year-old Italy international is also on Manchester United and Chelsea's radar, but report in Spain say it is Barcelona who are the most keen. It is believed Verratti has spoken to PSG's new director of sport Antero Henrique, letting him know of his desire to leave the French capital in the transfer window. Barcelona are wasting no time in their pursuit of the star, and will lodge a huge €100m bid to the Ligue 1 runners-up on Monday. Juventus are also keen on bringing Verratti back to the country of his birth, a move which could interest the self-confessed Juve supporter. The potential for Juventus to get involved is one reason Barcelona are keen to tie a deal up early, to stop any interference from elsewhere. Other clubs interested in Veratti include English Premier league champions Chelsea and Europa league holders Manchester united.
